I think that the feedback I’ve had in the workshops has helped shape the pieces I’ve written in both the digital publishing workshops and the reporting modules. One of the most valuable things I’ve had feedback on is how to cut down long drafts into shorter articles more suited for online readerships. From this I’ve begun writing articles around 50-100 words longer than required and then worked on cutting them so that they are more concise.
I think that my time management skills over the last 12 weeks have been rather successful since I have managed to complete all the work given to me by the deadlines. Right now the only problem I have with how I’ve organised my time has been in finding stories for the assessment pieces. This has taken me more time because the patch reporting deadline meant that any useful stories I found would be used on that since it was due earlier.
If I could give myself some advice in week one it would be to begin publishing all of my work to my Instagram page because it would push me to write more stores I would be proud of people reading and it would force me to practice using Photoshop to make slides.
