Reflection Two

Setting up my WordPress page has been very easy and simple so far and I haven’t ran into any problems… yet. My biggest issue with WordPress now is trying to find a nice theme to use which both displays text well and had a strong aesthetic. For the time being I’ve narrowed my favourite down to ‘Tonal’, however its use of capitals in the title and headings does come off slightly aggressive; more work must be done to reach perfection.

The prospect of finding original primary sources for next week’s workshop is daunting as I have no idea where I’ll begin to look for relevant local news, but I’m looking forward to the challenge. I think the hardest part of next week’s workshop will be the prior research and planning since they sound far more tedious than actually writing the piece itself.

UPDATE: We may have found the perfect theme with ‘afterlight’. It seems to be the perfect blend of angsty minimalistic mysticism and important journalistic work, especially with an atmospheric picture I took of Muse playing Leeds Festival in 2017. I shall keep you updated on my quest for aesthetic.
